In 1975, Michele didn’t know that her SCUBA instructor, Howard Hall, would not only become her future husband but business partner as well. Prior to joining Howard in the film business in 1991, Michele enjoyed a 19-year career as a registered nurse. Her underwater photographs have been published in numerous books and magazines around the world. With a degree in zoology from San Diego State University, Howard’s interest in marine wildlife led him to author numerous articles about marine life. Together they have accumulated several decade’s worth of scuba diving, photography, and film experience as well as leading expeditions to exotic dive locations around the world, and have even authored children’s books together.

Howard and Michele Hall are film producers specializing in marine wildlife films. They are considered among the top underwater filmmakers in the world. Howard has received six cinematography Emmys for films produced for television. Michele has received one Emmy award. They have won numerous awards in the wildlife film business as well.

Howard made his directorial debut in the IMAX format in 1994 with "Into the Deep”, and has moved on to even more IMAX and NOVAMAX endeavors. Howard Hall Productions has now produced and/or directed four IMAX Features, with Howard Hall as Director/Director of Underwater Photography/Writer and Michele as Producer, and contributed to many more works both above and

below the surface.
